All Things Vegan

I transitioned into veganism in early 2020. It was a new, difficult but exciting journey for me. In the beginning, I struggled with finding and creating meals that were both filling and delicious. I'm a New Orleans girl, so seasonings are crucial! I want to share some of my favorite recipes with y'all, just in case you need guidance into veganism, or you maybe looking to replace an omnivore meal with a vegan one!

Falafel Wrap

Falafel is one of the easiest things to make, especially when you're just picking it up from the frozen section of a grocery store. Click on the link to see how I put my little spin on the wrap.

Jambalaya with Fried Oyster Mushrooms

Growing up, I use to eat jambalaya and fried chicken all of the time. If you go to any baby shower, wedding, or any other event in New Orleans, you will see jambalaya and fried chicken on the menu. Although I no longer have the desire to consume chicken and beef, I still miss the flavors. I make this recipe any time I have a craving for classic home cooked meals.

Cauliflower Wings

Buffalo wings was my favorite form of chicken. Every time I had a craving for chicken wings, I had to get buffalo wings. I love the spiciness of it and the overall flavor, so it was only right that I made Buffalo cauliflower wings!

Chocolate Mousse

This Chocolate Mousse is so good and so easy to make! It is made from avocados (trust me) which gives this delicious dessert the smooth velvety mouth feel you crave. Click the picture for further ingredients and instructions!

"Bob's Burgers" Sliders

I am probably one of the biggest fans of "Bob's Burgers". The show is so well written and wholesome; it captures my heart strings every episode. If you never heard of the show, one of the most iconic scenes in every episode is Bob showcasing the "Burger of the Day." Season 5 ep. 6 of the show showcases the "Baby, you can chive my car" burger" which features a feta stuffed burger with a chive bun with fried pickle wheels on the side of the burger. I wanted to make a vegan slider inspired by the burger. I'm not the biggest fan on feta, and I could not find chive buns, nor was I about to attempt to make one. To still incorporate a creamy component and chives, I created a vegan jalapeño ranch and placed a fried pickle on top of the slider. It was so good! I made them for three days straight!
